PDFs won't open - screen flickers, but nothing

Ive been using Adobe Acrobat DC Pro for years. Just updated to the most recent version. No trouble until yesterday. When I attempt to open a PDF (that i was previously able to open) nothing happens.

Using a MacBook Pro and most recent version of OS/.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are not able to open a PDF file using Acrobat Pro DC on your Mac machine, Is that correct?

Please check for any pending updates of Acrobat from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after installing the updates and try opening any PDF file.

You can also refer and try the suggestions from the following Adobe article Can't open PDF

Thanks for your help. Acrobat was up to date. But clicking Window >Tile immediately opened a PDF!
