If a business is sold to another business, and they aren't connected - Both businesses have an Adobe photography plan. The business that is sold won't exist any more. How then can the business that has bought the other business import the bought business LR classic CC catalog into their lightroom? I've looked on the Adobe help pages but it talks more about transferring licences and so on. The concern of course is that the catalog has all the edit info. and virtual copy info which would be lost if the photos were simply imported into the new business lightroom.
Thanks.

You can open any Classic catalog in any installation of Lightroom Classic as long as the Classic versions match (or the version of Classic you are opening the catalog in is higher). It is not tied to any creative cloud account. As long as the new business has a creative cloud license that allows you to run Classic it will work.

Thank you! Would it also work if we "logged off" the PC here and then logged in on that same PC using the new "owner's" Adobe login? I.e. we'd be giving them the PC.
Thanks so much for your help.

That should work just fine if the new owner uses the same computer logon. Simply log on to the new owner's account in the creative cloud app and everything should work identical as before. Classic should open the exact same catalog file and should be able to access all the images in it. If Lightroom Classic doesn't open the right catalog right away he/she might have to direct it to the correct catalog but that is simple.

Many thanks, I'm very grateful for all that.
