Windows 10 Feature Update No. 1803 has updated on my PC overnight.
The map networked drive Z: for Premiere Pro to my NAS has now disappeared so Premiere is no longer able to see the footage on the NAS.
The ability to create another mapped networked drive does not work as Windows can't see the NAS on the network anymore.
I can ping the NAS on the network though.
After doing some digging around, it appears Microsoft has disabled the SMB Client option as it's a security threat.
Question.....how do I re-establish a connection to the NAS so Premiere can see the footage on the NAS but do so in a manner which is deemed secure.
Not exactly the same, but below is what I had to do to get my home network back
--do NOT install anything, follow the manual instructions on the page
---press WIN key + R then type services.msc in the run space and press the Enter key
---scroll down to Function Discovery Resource Publication and double click
---change Manual to Automatic and click Start to run the process then click OK to exit
