I want to sign up to use Lightroom for the filter features once my project goes live but before I do, I wanted to know if the editing features allow the following (I know this might sound quite basic, mind the amateur in me when it comes to photo editing):
1. Can you screenshot/capture? The reason I want to know this is because most snapshot tools lower the quality.
2. More important, if I had a screenshot of a map, can I add slick looking circular radius type shapes to emphasise a region as seen below? I know this might be something quite basic but I wanted to confirm there was a funky way to do this but still have that light transparency to see what's underneath but see the region clearly.
Lightroom does not have a screenshot tool, and cannot do the edits that you want.
You probably want Photoshop, which is included in the Photography plan.
There are a number of applications that will do this including apps on your smart phone? What will you be doing with the maps? Printing or for digital use?
Look at Camtasia, Snagit, Photoshop, browser add-ons and depending on what phone you have, you may be able to do this immediately after you take a screen grab.
