Imported video appears green in the project view

Hi,

     I'm trying to import a clip shot on my iPhone to Premiere Pro CC 2017 but every time I import it only shows green, in both the project view and any preview. I can play the video fine anywhere else and I've used footage from my phone before, but for some reason, it just decided to stop working.          

     Any help is appreciated and I give any other need details.

Some people find that Apple video (iphone etc) won't edit easily because it uses a variable frame rate

Sorry for the trouble. Is there any reason for using Premiere Pro CC 2017?

As suggested by John T Smith, it seems like Variable frame rate issue. Please test the same footage in Premiere Pro CC 12.1.1 version.

You can update the app using Creative Cloud: Update apps to the latest release of Adobe Creative Cloud
