Premiere Pro no longer remembers what timelines I had open

Premiere Pro version 12.1.1 (Build 10) on Mac OS X 10.12.6 Sierra

I normally work with several timelines open at once ... the main one I'm editing, and various other timelines where I've stored clips, etc. Until recently, when I quit Premiere and later re-opened a project, it would remember all the timelines that were opened when I quit and let me quickly resume where I left off.

But with recent versions, Premiere forgets all that and opens up only one timeline ... making it a pain in the neck to find all the others and re-open them. Is there a way to restore the previous behavior (a preference I haven't found yet?) ... or is this another bug that has crept into the program?

Thanks.
