video sounds different when imported

I'm trying to import a video into premiere and the audio I hear is not the same as when I open it up somewhere else. when I recorded this video I did use an external microphone so it might be using the camera's mic instead when importing to premiere. I mean it sounds fine when I listen to the clip outside of premiere, but once I import it, the audio is a bit raspy and static. I would appreciate the help.

Might want to set the Input of the Audio Hardware in the Preferences to none or build in.
