Can you please let us know the logic behind this kind of a requirement? The reason i'm asking you is that the mxml files are finally compiled into an SWF's and then run on a browser by embedding the SWF as an object in an html or JSP.
I have a 4D and html based application which working in browser and I want to make a desktop application without rewrite the design part. I want to rewrite only the 4D part to action script.
I think you can use HTML to create AIR apps. Maybe that is the way to go.
HTML and MXML are two completely different things. There is no way to convert an HTML page into a Flex application. Even if you have <form> tags the content of those tags does not match with <mx:Form> and <mx:FormItem> tags and their children.
You'll have to take the spirit of your app and rewrite it using MXML and ActionScript.
