Illustrator CC2018 + High Sierra 13.5 - not working! [branched]

Illustrator cc wont launch icon appears to start for 1/2 sec or so then disappears.

other cc programs starting to do the same thing.

Tried reboot,  uninstall  reinstall,  other earlier versions then update

????? any ideas

Hi David,

We very sorry for the frustrating experience. In this case, would suggest you to try resetting preferences for Illustrator by deleting folders manually:

Close all Adobe applications.

~/Library/Caches

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe

~/Library/Preferences

Delete or rename  Adobe Illustrator, com.adobe.illustrator and Adobe Illustrator 22 Settings folders.

Launch Illustrator from the creative cloud.

If that doesn't work please check how application working Root account: How to enable the root user on your Mac or change your root password - Apple Support

We were able to us the cc cleaner program and start from scratch.

Lunched in safe mode then it seemed to all get up and running.

Hi Srishti. I too am have serious performance issues. Takes a long time to boot, and VERY SLOW. When I try and close the app it freezes.

This is running on an iMac (late 2013) High Sierra 10.13.6.
