Hello there
what's the easiest way to put the dimensions of objects into a document?
Let's say I make something with Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop. Now I need to measure (and to display in the document for print) how many millimetres it is from this line to that line to this text...
What app, what tool?
Thank you!
I have written a free script available from colecandoo.com that will provide measurements on objects or groups of objects - here is a video of how it works: Episode 10: Draw Measurements Script - UPDATED - YouTube

It's not at all clear to me what you're trying to do.
Are you laying out artwork from Photoshop or Illustrator in InDesign? (You never said that, "kglad" just assumed it and moved your message here in the InDesign forum.) Why do you need the measurements? How to you want them to appear? Please provide a more complete description of your workflow so we can help.

Do you have a CC subscription? Acrobat Pro is included with the full subscription. Otherwise, you can do this manually—draw lines, add arrowheads, measure sizes and distances and add the text yourself—in any of the three applications.
Or, you can get one-month subscription to Pro for $25 or Standard for $23. (You can measure in either application.) Well worth the $23-25 IMHO!

Hello Hello-there:
Adobe Acrobat Pro offers measuring tools that will do what you want. A file created in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and pretty much any other application can be saved as a PDF.
