Creating an odd-sized PdF

I am trying to create a PdF document from a 8 inch by 8 inch Word document, but inevitably I end up with extra white margins or distortions. What do I need to do?

When you set your custom page size in Word, set your printer to the Adobe PDF printer and then add you custom sized page to the page sizes in the Adobe PDF printer.
