Unlinked files and Cannot link media

Files are mp4 from a Sony a7s and they are going off line suddenly with no possibility of linking it back. that screenshot I sent previously is the message I get all the time. after trying to link it back, the footage turns into an audio file only with no chances of linking or replacing the footage. I don't know if the problem is the footage or the software. this is happening with the latest version of premiere.

Btw, files are over a gb and this forum platform is not allowing me to attach it.
