Crashing when using Tools->Edit Text & Images

Adobe Acrobat Pro v11.0.23

I am in process of editing 128 or so .PDF documents, adding text to every page.

Is so doing, application regularly crashes upon saving.  Sometimes save is successful.  Sometimes not.

I also encounter crashes in the middle of text editing job, including when moving text objects on page.

Most of the time I get advice that application has "stopped working".  Sometimes application just closes on its own.

Problem occurs ~6 times in ten, editing text in .PDF documents.  ..sometimes more.

Is this an application fault or is there something I can do to make the application more reliable?
