Version 12 cc2018

Pic of problem: https://i.imgur.com/xrTobCn.png

I've followed many tutorials but still no luck:

Cleared media cache, changed the 'common' to commonold' (NO SOUND In Premiere CC 2018 - Fixed QUICKLY - Thanks GOD - premiere not importing audio - YouTube ) re-installed audio drivers and restarted pc and premiere many times now just in-case but still nothing : /

Any advice?

I'm not sure what the underlying cause is, but there have been a number of issues when the Default Input had anything selected.
