Looking for assistance in resolving my issues Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017.
Currently running Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 (not DC), Version 17.011.30080 on Windows 7 Professional, with Service Pack 1, 8gb ram on computer.
I primarily use Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 to create fillable PDF forms for my company.
Since installing Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 I have had consistent issues with:
Saving / Save As: This process takes an extremely long time (over 5 minutes on occasion), produces the "Not Responding" error regularly during the process and has also needed to be closed manually when it continue to just clock. Sometimes the Save takes 30 seconds, most times it takes well over 2 minutes.
Overall Speed: Everything seems to take longer to render when working in the Prepare Forms area, pop-ups load slowly, Acrobat seems to have a response lag.
What Has already Been Tried:
Recently had our IT Staff do a through clean-up on system purging old temp files, running disk clean-up, and chkdsk.
- This left the rest of my system running quickly, but made no difference in Acrobat.
Resetted the Acrobat Preferences
- Issues still persist.
Any thoughts on what to try would be appreciated.
As per the issue description mentioned you are facing issue when trying to save a pdf from as well as Acrobat is running slow, is that correct?
Please try following troubleshooting steps:
1- Open Acrobat's preferences and go to the "General" category. Uncheck the two "Show online storage..." options. Refer to this thread for more info: Acrobat Reader DC Slow Save As
2- Try repairing Acrobat using "Repair installation" option under Help menu, reboot the machine after repair and check.
