Getting Footage From a TV That Exists in the Video

Hello,

I have a video that contains a television inside of the video. I want to be able to select the part of the video playing inside of the TV, and then skew it so it fills the entire screen. I know perspective corners can produce this effect, but I need to a way where I can simply outline the TV and then skew / isolate the video playing inside of TV. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thank you in advance.

Hi jakea,

It really depends on the shot. Is it locked down or not? If not, look into using a mask and the 3D camera tracker in After Effects. If so, you can use an opacity mask and the footage on another track.

Thanks,
Kevin
