One of the files I scanned today won't open even though it is there on the front page and I check through the scanned pages before saving. The other file is fine but this one shows up as 0kb on the cloud and won't open in the app itself. This is the most important file and it took an hour to produce - where is it?!

As you say that the file shows up as 0 kb, that means the PDF is empty. It seems that file was not saved successfully to the Document Cloud.
It takes some time for processing and saving the scan.
Please make sure that you do not close the application until the file is successfully saved to the cloud.
If the file was not saved, then there is nothing much that can be done from our end.
Could you please check once if you have any other file saved with the similar name in the Document Cloud or in the application?
When you try to open the file in Adobe Scan, do you get any error message?
Did you try once to reboot the device?
Also, check if the application is updated to the latest version.
