Sound clip replacement doesn't use the new version

I have a sound clip in a project.  I edited this in an outside sound editor, when I go back to Premiere Pro CC, and replace the clip, it does not get the changes.  It's like it is cashed somehow and even when replaced uses the old version.  How can I get it to update to the new version of the sound clip?

Did you import the new audio into PrPro?
