I have two screen capture clips that that should be the same codec wise. See Media Info below. Supposedly Premiere can handle variable frame rate video now right? I am able to import one just fine but the other only brings in the audio. Any ideas?
This variable frame rate video imports fine;
This second file does not import properly. It only imports audio; (it imported fine in the past for some reason but now I can not link up the footage or import again)
I try to move the location of the files to another folder but with a shorter route.
Sorry for the issue. Premiere Pro supports VFR in the latest version, the current version is 12.1.2.

Despite Adobe's efforts here, I do believe using a hardware recorder is the best option. Devices like the Ninja from Atomos or the HyperDeck Studio Mini from Blackmagic will record standardized media that pretty much always works.
