Disapearing Project Names

I have adobe premiere pro cc and the application just started acting up yesterday with a few unrelated projects. Seems randomly when I try to rename either a bin or a file in the project manager instead of getting a nice text box for me to see the item that I am renaming it disappears all together. When I type a name blindly, it eventually renames. Ive tried to install updates and uninstall and reinstall. I am on a mac. Any help would be appreciated.

Try resetting the Workspaces:

Reset a workspace

Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
    • Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

from here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn’t work ,try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

Hi openskies2009,

Sorry for the issue with renaming. It seems like an issue with corrupted workspaces or preferences.

Are you using any custom workspaces? If yes, change the workspace to default & see if it works.

If the issue persists, reset the preferences. Here are the steps: FAQ: How to reset (trash) preferences in Premiere Pro?

Thanks,

Vidya
