Photoshop Elements 2018 Update Camera Raw 10.4

Hallo Zusammen,

besitze Win10 mit Photoshop Elements 2018 und hab nun versucht manuell das Camera Raw 10.4 Plugin zu installieren. Wenn ich nun im Elements versuche die Version zu überprüfen ob das Update erfolgreich war Hilfe->Über Zusatzmodul->Camera Raw schließt sich die Anwendung. Jedoch öffne ich eine RAW über Datei->In Camera Raw öffnen wird Camera Raw 10.2 (sprich die alte Version) gestartet.

Recherche ergab das Elements 2018 eigentlich nur mit Camera Raw 10.0 funktioniert: Kompatibilität von Camera Raw-Zusatzmodul und Adobe-Anwendung

Weiß jemand ob Camera Raw 10.4 unter Elements 2018 läuft bzw. was bei mir der Fehler sein könnte?

Ps.: Warum ich auf 10.4 updaten möchte ist das RAW Format meiner neuen Kamera wird nicht unterstützt und ich möchte die Features für Objektive nützen.

You probably downloaded the plug-in for Photoshop CC 2018 which will not install automatically in PSE 2018

It is possible to update manually using my blog link below.

About the additional functions which Adobe published in Camera Raw 10.4 e.g. lens correction Korrigieren von Linsenverzerrungen in Adobe Camera Raw

Is there any additional mode which need to be enabled to use that additional functions or they are then only available in Lightroom / Photoshop CC?

PSE has always had a basic set of raw tools compared with Photoshop CC Lightroom Classic CC and Lightroom CC. But those applications are only available by subscribing to a photography plan.

Thank you 99jon, your answer was very helpful .

To travel light sometimes, I just bought the Sony Rx100 m6 (which has an unbelievable image quality for the camera size even at full opening in any focal length compared to my d750!). But apparently only the latest version 10.5 of camera raw supports the raw files of rx100 m6...

Could you please upload a link to the latest camera raw for elements ?

FAQ: Will Photoshop Elements work with my camera, or Why won't my raw files open?

Download the free Adobe DNGconverter mentioned in that faq. It's a standalone app, not a plugin, which can convert a whole folder of your raw files to the DNG raw format that your current PSE can read and edit.

The latest available ACR version for PSE2018 is 10.2 and most probably, your camera will only be supported in the soon to come PSE2019.
