i have a company issued IPad that I am using to access a company website. If I attempt to open a PDF in Reader I get the message that the file is damaged or corrupted. I was reading about the Header validation issues, but don’t know to make this change on my iPad.

i am using Adobe version 18.07.30

Hi Ryanm,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Are you still experiencing the issue while opening the PDF?

Please try once reboot the device and check if you still get the error message.

Also, try to save the PDF on the device and then try to open it from the saved location in Adobe Acrobat Reader for iOS.

Check and let us know how it goes.

If the issue still persists, please provide the information asked below:

- Is it an issue with a particular PDF?

- Did you check if you can open other PDFs without any issue?

- Are you able to open that PDF on the desktop application without any issues?

- What is the iOS version on your iPad?

We will be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Hello,

Yes, I am still having the issue. The device has been rebooted and I have

tried saving the files locally, with no effect.

All other PDFs appear to work fine, there are certain ones that are work

related that work fine on other platforms, that do not appear to work on my

IPAD.

The IPAD is up to date, running ios 11.4.1

Hi Ryan,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Is it possible to share any PDF with us so we can check it on our end?

You can share the file either here on the forums or in a private message.

Please refer to these steps provided here to share the file How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud

To initiate a private message, you can simply hover on my name at top of the reply window.

There you will see a Message tab in the pop-up window. Click on that and send a private message to me.

Also, let us know if you can open the PDF on the desktop application without any issue?

If yes, try once to upload the PDF to Document Cloud.

Then on your mobile application, open the PDF from the Document Cloud tab.

Check if that works.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Meenakshi
