Hi folks!

I'm having some trouble with my FindChangeByList and want to be sure I'm doing it correctly.

I'm trying to find a text string "$U.S."

In my FindChangeByList file I have escaped the special characters as "\$U\.S\." but it still does not find the string.

Same for the characters $ ( ) . ' -

Just a \ in front of each, right? So why isn't it working?

Thanks!

Partially correct. I thought you were out of your mind but the double escape is what works. BUT I don't actually need to escape . ' - just $ and ( ). Thank you!

Oh. You need to escape the dots.

Otherwise you could find something like $USSR 😉

I'm kidding, but remember: A simple dot stands for any character in GREP land.
