Premiere Pro cc2018 V 12.1.2 - Unworkable.

Trying to edit a simple timeline of 1080 footage, and Premiere timeline is impossible to work with, it is so sluggish, audio is playing but the video does not then it does then it stops, making any sort of editing impossible. I am running a late 2015 iMac Retina 5K, 32 GB Memory, 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5. What is going on??? Am i going to gave to switch to Final Cut?

Hard to say with the info you've provided - did this problem appear with the update (editing fine/update then problems)?

If so, if you revert to a previous version, does the application work correctly?

Would also be useful to know the properties of your source material, your sequence settings, and how the media you are working with is stored/connected to your computer.

Also, any steps you've taken to try to resolve the issue.
