Not able to make an air application in dreamweaver

    gaurav_ch Level 1
      Hi,

I have recently downloaded the air extension for dreamweaver and have installed the runtime also. Whenever I try to make an application.xml file, it throws up a dialog box stating that "already an air application is running or you are previewing an application. Close the application."

What am I supposed to do?

      Any help will be appreciated.

          Hi Gaurav -
Sorry for the delayed response; I just noticed this post.

Can you tell me a bit more?

          1) Is this still happening?
          2) What version of the extension are you running?
          3) What are the exact steps that lead to this error dialog? (What do
mean by "making an application.xml file" --- are you just opening the
AIR Application Settings dialog, entering some details, and then hitting
          the Save button?)

It looks like the error message is actually misleading, but I'm trying
to figure out what the real problem is.

            A couple more questions -
            4) is this on Windows or a Mac?
            5) Can you check for this file under your "user configuration" folder?
            on windows:
            C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9\Configuration\Shared\AdobeAIR\templates\application.xml

            on mac:
            /Users/<user name>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver 9/Configuration/Shared/AdobeAIR/templates/application.xml .

            thanks again,
            Vic
