We're sorry to hear about Lightroom crashing on import, I believe the issue is with the permissions. When you update Lightroom the permissions are getting corrupted.

I have the same problem from 7.4 but with windows 10. Solutions? Even with the update to 7.5 the problem has not been solved.
Are you still facing the above issue? Could you please update Lightroom to 8.0 version via Creative Cloud Desktop app and check if that helps.

Thanks for your suggestion, but the problem reappears. In particular when the program is already open. If you import the image when start it's almost always ok.
