Hi everybody!

I'm trying to export a short story but it takes the proxies instead of the full res.... And I need a full quality export.

My sequence is a 1920x1080, full res footage is 4K (3840x2160), Proxies : H264  1024X540

I've attached the proxies to the full res.

I've edited with the proxies but when I use the toggle proxies/full res it doesn't work and more importantly when I export, it exports the proxies and not the full res.....

Attached screen capture of my bins...

I must be doing something wrong but can't work out what!!!! Would love some help!

Thank you!

If the original media is "online", then export will use it by default.  The only way to force the use of proxies is to take the originals "offline".

Just to confirm, you are trying to export with high res, not proxies, right?

Can you post your export settings?

Those bins are of the proxies ... where are the bins of original media?

Curious. That says your source sequence is 1440x1080 with a PAR of 1.333.

Which doesn't fit anything you've got.

Wait a second, you you attaching proxies to your 4K footage and using the Toggle Proxy button or are you creating proxies and separately bringing the proxy files into your project?

Hey Neil,

could my problem come from there.

I've created a 1080p sequence as I wanted to be able to pull in the 4K.

It doesn't look like I have any choice re: the HD Anamorphic. (Completely lost here, to tell you the truth!!)

Thanks!

You setup is a bit of a mess.

Your originals are 3460x2160, your proxies are 1024x540 and your sequence is 1440x1080p 1,33.

You either edit in a 4K timeline or drop everything in a 1920x1080 1.0 timeline.

You attach the proxies to the original and toggle in the timeline to use the proxies for easy editing.

When exporting Premiere will automatically select the originals.

Make sure your clips in the timeline are online with the originals.

Need to change the timeline either to 4K or 1920x1080p 1.0

In the Project window right click on the clips > Proxy > attach proxies.....

I did all that (attaching proxies, having proxies and original online) but as I said the toggle wouldn't work .

It's all a bit of a mess, I completely agree with you. I think I didn't choose the right Proxies settings (realised searching and reading that H264 is definitely not a good option for proxies when it comes to editing even if it's proposed by default, and it should be 1920x1080 like the sequence although ratio wise 1024x540 is the same ratio than the 4K, right?). I also probably didn't set up properly my sequence, I wanted it to be 1920x1080, but had no idea which other setting to choose.
