adobe acrobat pro latency lag when editing and drawing with a pen.

We have a dell canvas and trying to edit PDFs with Adobe Acrobat pro 2017. There are clear latency issues when editing with a pen compared to other PDF editing software and MS paint.

Are there other options inside the software that may resolve this?

There are certain latency issues editing a PDF with any tool in my experience. I think this depends on the structure of a PDF file in that it is editing a file format that is to display correctly on any device. Where you can strive to go to the source software to create a PDF that needs minimal editing. Check the settings in the Page View from the preferences to be sure you have Use Page Cahe turned on
