parents for a new collection

Hey,

I'm trying to get the parents of a collection in the viewForCollectionSetting. But regarding the doc, This field is only present when editing an existing published collection.

I need to check if a collection has a parent or not to know which parameters I'm showing in the viewForCollectionSetting. Any workaround to get the attribute of this parameter even for new collection and be able to show or hide parameters of viewForCollectionSetting regarding the parents presence or not.
