Hi, I hope that you might be able to help me. I need to save an animated GIF I have created in Photoshop CC 2018 into a Quicktime Pro. Res. 422 (HD or 1920 x 1080 preferred, aspect ratio 16:9) file. Any ideas? Many thanks.

You can convert to video in Photoshop but may not be able to use a ProRes format (I cannot check as I use PC and Pro Res is not installed on the PC even with Adobe's video applications - it is installed on MACs with those applications).

To see what options you do have in Photoshop - open the GIF.

It will open in a frame animation timeline

Reformat your image  to 16:9 at the pixel size you need 1920x1080 (the crop tool will do this)

Then in the timeline drop down (at the top right of the timeline) choose Convert to Video Timeline.
Then Choose Render Video and see the video format options available to you.

If none of the options you see are suitable , you will need to use After Effects /Adobe Media Encoder or an external application to convert to the format you need.

Hi Dave

Thank you for your message - I've followed your instructions but instead of getting the option Quicktime Pro Res I got either Adobe Media Encoder or Photoshop Image Sequence. Do you know if either of these would work? Many thanks

The available options are in the "Format" box beneath Adobe Media Encoder

As I said earlier your required format may not be available via Photoshop
