I'm color grading with Lumetri on proxies, however, when I click the toggle icon to switch back to the orginal 4k resolution - the color changes! I'm happy that I can edit these 4k files... but its frustrating that I'm not able to color grade on the proxies because there is an obvious difference. When I toggle back to the orginal file, they look more yellow and warm then than how I graded it. Is anyone else running into this? Is there a way to get an accurate color representation without having to toggle back and forth between the proxy and original file?

I have not see this occur on my system.
Can you post what the properties of your original source 4K media and the properties of the proxies?
Do you have any Master Clip effects applied?

Using Cineform proxies (the only option I recommend), I have never noticed any shift between original and proxy.

Why wouldn't H264 look normal as opposed to cineform?

H.264 not only doesn't sufficiently improve playback performance, thus making it largely useless as a proxy format, but it's also an 8 bit 4:2:0 format, whereas Cienform is 10 bit 4:2:2.

The H264 1024x540 proxy is running way smoother than the original 4k clip. It's just the color that is off.

Redo the proxies as Cineform.
