I'm working in premiere pro CC2018 with an imac macOS High sierra version 10.13.6 and when I import a clip .mov in premiere i haven't any problem, but when I press play to reproduce it, the video make drops and freeze the image while the audio continue working correctly.

I already installed perian, I have Quicktime Player 10.4(928.13) (for the codecs i may need or I don't know).

I already empty the render folder and still happen.

I would like to be able to work without doing render to this kind of files.

I'm becoming crazy searching a solution, please, if you have any solution it would save my life.

Hi MARTAMT0,

Sorry for the playback issue. What is the selected renderer in project settings? Change it and see if it works: FAQ: How to change the Video Renderer in Premiere Pro?

What is the resolution of the MOV files? If its high, try using the proxy workflow: Work offline using proxy media |

Please let us know the status.

Thanks,

Vidya
