exporting png to html and file renaming

    vatodelaville
After working on the png file in fireworks and exporting the html to the original file, many of the images have been renamed, but not all. This is making it difficult to organize the required files before uploading to the website. Perhaps I am missing a vital concept here. I have put the images that I work with in the folder that I have the page that I am working on. I thought this would help. Does fireworks rename everything after you insert it? Is there a better bookkeeping method of which I am ignorrant for storing the files in the right place? I would like to upload only the files relevant to the page if possible and leave the rest behind. Sorry for the multiple questions and thanks for the advice.

Fireworks only renames sliced images, and this is based on your input in
the slice name box in the Property Inspector. If you have exported areas
that are not sliced, FW will use the default naming convention and
          default optimization settings.

Not sure exactly what you mean. What are you inserting and where are you
          inserting it?

Exporting your slices to your images folder within your main site folder
is the simplest method. Complex sites may have sub folders in the image
directory for different areas of the site.

If you are working with DW for page creation, make sure you have a site
defined. This should help, because DW prompts you to upload dependent
files when you upload an html page. It will leave behind any images that
are not directly linked to the page.
