Insufficient data for an image

Hi

I am using Acrobat Pro DC on Mac v 2018.011.20058.  I am receiving the error message "insufficient data for an image" on many pdfs that I did not used to receive this error on.  The consequences is that many (if not all) of the pages display as blank pages.

Are these old PDFs, kept on your hard drive, or PDFs that you get again, which should be unchanged, but which someone else has kept? Can you share any one publicly?
