Recently purchased photoshop CC and when I open any jpg it displays it at the smallest size

it can.  I have to enlarge every time to see it.  I've searched a bit and nothing seems to tell me

how to open files at 50% or 100% like normal.

  Any clues?

Could you please try resetting the preferences of Photoshop and let us know if it helps with the issue?

Hi Jeffb,

We're sorry to hear about this, could you please let us know what is the resolution of the image you're trying to open in Photoshop?

Also, does it happen with every jpeg or some specific images?

Regards,
Sahil

Hi and thanks for responding.

It does'nt seem to matter on resolution or size.  The navigator whether displayed or not

reduces the image to a small dot.

It was working fine yesterday until I floated the tool palettes as seperate pieces instead

of all connected onto one wordspace.  Should I reset it and give that idea up?

Video was super helpful and it did resolve the issue!!!

Not sure what I did to change the Navigator especially since I can't even find

a menu to specifically reset or adjust it.

I'm calling that solved, I won't mess with it again...for a while anyway.

THANK YOU!

I have discovered that it does this whenever I try to float all files in separate windows.

I hate having 5 pics combined into the same tab as I like to look at them when working,

so I float them in seperate windows and they tend to shrink and even vanish sometimes.

It's frustrating as I've been using CS2 for years and now I have to slow down to even

open files now.

Thanks for your help.

Not sure if you receive this but I have figured out what it was.

I was setting up my workspace like the old CS2 and 3, so I floated

the tool pallets and shrunk

the control tab to just be a bar instead of a whole screen. The

navigator was following the size

of the control bar screen.

Might be handy to know as older users of PS might do this as well,

I dunno.

Is there a way to just show the control bar only without the large

window it's attached to?

Thanks and regards,

jEFF
