Unclear Procedures for Audition to Premiere Pro Sequence [Reverse] Handover

    CongruenceBrah Level 1

      Hi there,

I'm having trouble handing back changes to PP once I have edited a sequence's audio in Audition.

I have the latest versions of PP and Audition and have recently purchased the Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018 CIB book. On p. 266, it shows how to handover a sequence to Audition to be edited:

This is all well and good but it isn't clear how to push back the edits to PP. One might think to simply press ⌘+S (I'm on a Mac) to do so but Audition then prompts me to save the file (which does not update my still-open sequence in PP):

I have no idea what to do with this .sesx file; my ultimate goal in this workflow is to bolster my sequence audio in PP.

It must be noted that it is much simpler to push changes back to PP from Audition when editing a single audio clip. One simply needs to ⌘+S and the original sequence clip in PP gets updated—Audition can then be closed without any file saving inconveniences.

In conclusion: How can I push back audio sequence changes from Audition to PP without having to deal with extra files?

P.S. What was the standard workflow pre-Audition v11.1 where there were upgrades made to sequence editing?
