So I have two Lightroom Catalogs, one with jpegs and one with RAW files. I used to only use the catalog with JPGs for organization and then would open all the RAW files I wanted in Photoshop. Well, now that I've realized how inefficient that is, I want to combine the two catalogs into one. Basically, I want the RAW images to get the keywords from the JPGs while keeping any edits they have in associated XMPs.
Does anyone know if this is possible? I've tried copying both sets of files into a folder with the "treat JPG and RAW files next to each other as the same file" enabled, but it only reads the RAW file, and none of the keywords from the JPG.
Import one catalog into a copy of the other catalog. Now use John Beardsworth sync-magic plugin to sync keywords between the jpeg and raw copies of files: Syncomatic – Lightroom Solutions
Thanks for the plugin link! That'll do exactly what I need and is well worth the cost.
