Gern geschehen

Hi Tim,

Sorry that you're getting an error me "jpeg marker missing " while opening a jpeg image in Photoshop. Could you please take a look at this article Invalid JPEG Marker error when opening images in Adobe Photoshop and let us know if that helps?

Thanks,

Akash

None of the steps solve the problem. It now occurs even more frequently, always with pictures taken with a mobile phone and sent via Whatsapp.

got the same problem. error message reads as: (german) der vorgang konnte nicht ausgeführt werden, weil ein SOFn-, DQT- oder DHT-JPEG-Marker vor einem JPEG-SOS-Marker fehlt. picture comes from whatsappe, over iphone apple mail to osx. open it in the preview-app on osx and save it as jpg again solved the problem. but it would be nice to know if the problem is whatsapp or osx or photoshop.

Hi,

its a Problem of the Smartphones. Some Pictures you got from Whatsapp are missing this Marker.
But is that really important for you? I think the Solution is more important

I do not know any other method.
May you can Try "ImangeResizer"

You can change the resoution with "Rightclick" and safe, Even with multiple files at the same time.

But you can use the same resolution.
Maybe it works too.

Hi

You could try setting this option in the Camera Raw preferences so the image will open in ACR first, then just click on open image

In Photoshop go to Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw

Hallo zusammen,
