problem with bpelt flatten filter

I've been using this filter (bpelt flatten) for years with various versions of photoshop, most recently cc2017.  For some reason it has stopped working and is giving me the error message "problem with the filter module interface".  I've tried installing earlier versions of cc (2015) in hopes that a recent update is the cause of the problem, but it seems that whether I use cc 2015, 2017, or 2018 the issue remains the same.  I'm using windows 10 on a Wacom cintiq companion.  I also tried uninstalling the most recent windows update, but the problem persists.

I found that bpelt site now refers to Peltmade  store​

Have you tried the new version of that software?

I think that the old version of the software is no longer compatible
