Unexpected error opening catalog.

Hello I am running Adobe Lightroom 5.7.1 on Windows 10 I have just returned from holiday when I get the error message. Unexpected error opening catalogue. I have attempted multiple fixes, restarting the computer, shutting down, running as administrator, deleting the lock file and attempting to open the backup catalogues (which give the same error message). Nothing has worked and I dont want to do anything that may cause the program to be wiped from the computer as I only have the classic version with 1 license key, not CC.

Can anyone help me with this as I the programme has been rendered useless.
