    Quicktime movie w/alpha channel

    1serg1
I am working with Dir.MX2004 (Mac OSX). I have imported a quicktime movie with an alpha channel, but I am unable to get the alpha channel to show up. I've searched some previous posts but they don't answer the problem.

Please help. I'm sure someone out there can explain.

      Thanks!!!

You can't use an alpha channel with QuickTime video in Director. You
could try running it non-DTS and use a sprite ink setting, or use a
          1-bit mask with the member.

If you want to use alphachannel, you can convert the video to Flashvideo with on2VP6 Codec. I dont know if that works on
a Mac, on WIndows it works fine.

It's my undersatnding that a 1-bit mask can only be used with a bitmap. If I have a video with many frames, do i have to create a mask for each?

              thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with a Mac.

                    How did you do it.
Started Premiere cs3 with custom settings, set in videorendering
                    maximum depth to get 32bit
then imported my video as singleframe with alpha to premiere,
and put it on the second video layer.
Export with adobe Mediaencoder to flv with video w alpha setting.

                    Mybe this will help you
