Hi,
I need to be able to get several contributors to markup documents with comments. In the desktop acrobat, you get options for 'Add note to replace text' & 'Insert text at cursor' but on the Document Cloud you do not get these options only the 'strikethrough text' and 'Underline'
This is using the new 'Review' option in desktop Acrobat Pro DC and is ideal as all contributors can see comments so don't have to make the same edits, but without the "add note to replace text' & 'Insert at cursor' means the new import pdf function in Indesign does not allow for text updates automatically.
Is there a setting that we need to change within Acrobat Pro that will allow the missing function to appear on the document Cloud or is this just not a function online?
Regards
Phil
The web version does not have all the commenting tools, sorry.

They just need to upgrade their version of Reader to the latest one and
they'll get access to all the commenting tools.

Thanks for the reply.
This is a real shame, as the online review is almost useless without the full edit functions.

I agree - This seriously limits these new features!

This limitation makes this function useless if the intent is to port the comments into InDesign to accept text changes. It's interesting that they chose to keep the underline tool because it basically does nothing. Is there any plan to activate the two most useful tools in the review category? 'Replace Text' and 'Insert Text'.
The new features are amazing - but it's such a shame that these details always seem to prevent them from being used together effectively.

As an Indesign and Acrobat advanced user, I strongly agree. This limitation confuses the regular Acrobat desktop user. I've just spent hours looking for the complete tools set on a shared file, just to find out they dont exist there. The REPLACE TEXT and INSERT TEXT are the most usefull for Indesign & Acrobat interaction on text reviewing.
