Hey guys.
So i have a 640xsomething footage filmed with God knows what. I had to removed the background using after effects. In premiere i have a 720p sequence where i need to put the footage. I scaled it to fit the sequence but when i export it looses a lot of quality. I export using h.264 and youtube 720p. Any thoughts on how i can increase the size of the footage without losing quality?
Increasing size, in your case twice the size, without loosing quality is nearly impossible.
Either use Ae: detail preserving upscale or
Instant 4K plugin from Red Giant.
Dont expect wonders.

Hello. Thank you for answering. I installed and used Instant 4k but i can't seem to get it a lot better.
So this is what i got out with the plugin, and bellow this is what i am aiming for:

What you're aiming for may be unrealistic.
If you want a quality finished product, you have to start with quality ingredients.

So the problem is with the footage and not they way i do it?

Most likely.

The problem is that i am pretty sure the 2nd video i posted was made from the exact same footage, yet the quality of it is much better. I'm so confused.

The second video is not scaling the footage over 100%. You are.

I don't understand. The 2nd video is 1920x1080. How was the video added on that resolution if the footage is 640x?
Here is the original footage
Perhaps you can have a look?

Its 640x480
If you look closely to the second video you posted the quality is not so good.

Also, your original is 30fps (not 29.97, for example). Your export Sequence 1 is 24fps. The second clip, "Section 3 2...." is 25fps.
What are your export settings?

So the 2nd video is made from the same footage. If it is not scaling up then how did they manage to make it like that since the footage is 640x and the sequence is 1920x1080 ?

I am only referring to the first seconds from the 2nd video.
