I interviewed a woman a number of years ago. I edited the audio by right-clicking on the clip and editing in Audition. The newly rendered files were placed in a folder on a scratch drive that was wiped. So, at this point, the project opens but all of the dialogue is gone because the rendered files are gone. Is there a way to replace all the rendered audio that is non-existent with the original audio of the original file? Restore unrendered is grayed out.
Okay, I figured it out.
Left click on the video clip in the timeline with the missing audio. Press "F" on the keyboard to match the frame (or Sequence > Match Frame). Then, right click on the same clip and go to Replace with Clip > From Source Monitor, Match Frame. The missing audio will now be replaced with the original audio.
