    Recording only Manual Screen Shots

I want to insert slides or record new slides in a Captivate presentation using the Prnt Scrn only. I find that the automated way gives me way more slides than I want, but I haven't been able to find the option to ONLY record the screens I want. It captures every click and movement. Any ideas?

Hi gaylemichel and welcome to our community

If you are creating a totally new recording, get Captivate to the point where you are about to click the Record button to begin the process.

If you are adding to an existing recording, prepare to record new slides.

Click the Settings... button to display the Preferences dialog. Click the Settings node in the dialog, then click the drop-down and change the Recording Type from "Auto Recording" to "Manual Recording". Click OK to dismiss the dialog and resume recording!

          Cheers... Rick

That's EXACTLY what I wanted to know, and your directions were very easy to follow.

            Thanks Rick! :)
