I'm trying to find out how to place a url hyperlink to
another web site over the top of the last frame of my flash video
clip. Could anyone please help me out with some basic action script
techniques for implementing this functionality?
I simple want to have an invisible and clickable area placed
over the top of the last frame of the imported .flv file. How can
do this and also make the url target open in a new window?
Ah, good point! I'm using CS3, but the Flash file I'm working
on is saved as Flash 8, so (action script 2.0).
I actually think I figured it out on my own, but pehaps
there's an alternative way. I simply created a new layer over the
top of my video clip. Made a box shape over the clickable area.
Converted to a button symbol. Set the Alpha channel to 0%, and
placed a behavior script on the first keyframe.
That seems to have done the trick, but I would be happy to
hear of any other approaches that might also work...
