In trying to import MP4 movie files, I rcv'd message "The movie file contain no video frame".  Can someone tell me what this is about besides not importing the file(s)?  And what do I need to do to get the files imported into LR CC?  Thanks

Mac or Windows? Which version?

Which exact version of LR?

Which camera/phone created the MP4 files?

Windows 10.  Lightroom Classic CC, 8.0 Release.  The MP4 files were created from MOV files that were taken with an iPhone 8.  I converted the MOV fiels because LR I received that same message with the MOV files.

I am having the same issue.  Interestingly all the mp4 files I transferred in from my camera worked fine in lightroom.  The ones I took from my iPhone and converted to MP4 would not work even though all plays fine on any of 4 different video players I have on my system.  Just lightroom cannot see them and gives me the error

The movie files contain no video frames

Either this is a bug or there is some difference between MP4 formats.  I have compared the properties on all of them and find there is no difference in the properties of either those that work or those that do not.  Has to be something else going on here.

Please see Adobe Lightroom supported video file formats  as the explanation for your issue may well be therein
