1. Re: Standard Screen Size
Newsgroup_User Jan 23, 2008 2:09 PM (in response to YTCollege)Hi YTCollege,
I'm not sure about "standard" because resolutions differ from PC to PC,
but I tend to use 860x590 for an assumed resolution of 1024x768. This, in my
opinion, is the base resolution for most computers these days and it will
fit almost any browser window with standard buttons (and default button
sizes) enabled.

Patrick Bay

YTCollege Jan 24, 2008 4:48 AM (in response to Newsgroup_User)Thanks for your reply. That's what I thought. My boss likes me to create things @ 800x600 cause he feels that many people are still using that as a resolution. I just don't think apps look great that big. I was just wondering if anyone has found a size that looks good at any screen resolution. -

getxposed Jan 24, 2008 9:51 AM (in response to YTCollege)Glad to see you got your answer. I noticed you're a flash designer and maybe you could help me with this.
My video was created using a video streamer but it looks like a flash code anyway. Here's my issue.
My video displays correctly in size on my website but sometimes in shrinks to about a quarter of the orginal size if I go and check it at a later time. so I have to refrest the page to get it back to normal again.
How can I prevent this from happening (shrinking display)
If you could help then I would really appreciate your expert opinion.
Thanks again,
Malcolm
Oh by the way you can check it yourself at www.overnightcashgifting.com it's my intro page. -
