          Find <body> and right after <body and before the > paste/type
          bgColor=#bb9cba leftMargin=0 topMargin=0 marginheight="0"
          > marginwidth="0">
          I am assuming you do not have any other code after the <body

            After you publish your flash file (if using default settings) you will have 3 files..
            filename.fla ..the source code for your flash
            filename.swf .. the compiled flash file
            filename.html .. the html file that you use to tell browsers how to handle the swf file.

            Edit the html file with notepad. Find the line that starts with
            <BODY
            It will look about like this..
            <BODY bgcolor="#CCCCDD">

            Those numbers tell the browser what color to put for the background.
            Edit that line to insert this margin stuff..
            leftMargin=0 topMargin=0 marginheight="0" marginwidth="0"

            Now it should look like this but with your own background color number in it.
            <BODY bgcolor="#CCCCDD" leftMargin=0 topMargin=0 marginheight="0" marginwidth="0">

            Save the html file and upload it and the swf to your webpage.
            Then link to your file using the html, not the swf.

            This..
            http://mywebpage.com/filename.html
            Not this..
            http://mywebpage.com/filename.swf

            good luck,
            tralfaz

              Hi! I have the same problem... wants my background image to full the whole browser instead of the 2 ugly white backgrounds left & right of my webpage.

              Did exactly as you indicated:

              <BODY bgcolor=.................marginwidth=0>

              but still, instead of my own background, the white backgrounds are still visible when I 'control>enter' to preview my webpage. (Note: I have not upload yet)

              Any ideas why this ios so?

              Thank you!
