Is there a way to save printer settings or a few different
printer settings for a group of PDFs so that the printer settings are associated
with the specific PDF or group of PDFs. We are using Adobe Acrobat Reader and Pro?
(We are having issues were some documents are printing on the wrong paper or portrait/landscape incorrectly or
with the wrong paper size and would like to lock down the printer settings or
default printer settings or associate printer settings with a specific PDF.
Even if someone has a suggestion that is outside of an Adobe setting, any
suggestions would be appreciated) - Thank you

Is there a way to do this outside of Adobe using a .bat file or some print driver settings or print driver file? Thank you?

Generally, we have multiple printers and a plotter, and it was my guess that we might be able to modify or create a printer setting file or print driver to store specific printer preferences or settings to help with our printing issue. We have .ini files that store some of the printer configuration information, but I'm more interested in a process to save default printer settings so they would not either be able to be changed or what initially be a certain value whenever someone opens the .PDF file to print. Currently if a user prints to a specific printer using Adobe, and then tries to print a different .pdf on another printer or the plotter, then the printer settings are changed. We are looking for a way to basically assign a printer setting to a specific .PDF file. That way, the user doesn't need to make any printer setting changes and just prints the file.
The process could be to run a .bat file or some other process right before opening the .PDF file before printing it to setup the printer settings, and then printing it through Adobe. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Acrobat Reader can't assign printer settings to PDF files.
